About Me

Greetings parents and students,

My name is Adam Salem and this is my first year of teaching here at Travis high school. I am a born and raised San Antonio native and obtained my degree in History Education grades 7-12 from Our Lady Of The Lake University here in San Antonio. Some of my hobbies include fishing off of my kayak, taking hikes with my dog Ace, and visiting museums any time I can.

I look forward to getting to know all of my students and their parents as well as having a productive year together. Also below you will find my attached resume with my credentials.

Summary: While exploring what to major in while in college it never occurred to me to become a teacher until it did. With having a passion for history and teaching I decided to do both by receiving my degree and certification from Our Lady of The Lake University. Even though being a first year teacher I have interned at two different high schools here in San Antonio. I am also a CYO youth minister and recipient of the John Cage technology grant of 2017.
